The Mother

The mother is an effortlessly beautiful, resilient, and loving character within the story of The Crows. She loves her family, but becomes sick after suffering a miscarriage.  Her natural charismatic and aura of grace around her contrast the sickness that she suffers in the story. She succumbs to her sickness in the process of the father growing the trees to save their son.

Mother Study Sketches:

Version 1

This was a basic idea sketch for what I wanted the mother to look like.

Final Version:

This version I added a little more to the clothes like the apron. Her outfit is a little longer to make her look more mature.

At the age of 22, famine struck the nation. She became pregnant again and suffered a miscarriage. The lasting effects of it caused her to grow sick and around the same time, her son goes missing.
